“Our maple syrup is natural, made as pure as possible and well-filtered. Our woodlot is well-drained and free of chemicals, fertilizers & pesticides,” says Bruce Hendry. Upon retiring from dairy farming, Bruce and his wife Melody used their extra time to transform Bruce’s passion for maple syrup into a commercial enterprise. Today they tap 7 acres of a 20- acre maple lot with a pipeline and vacuum system, firing the evaporator with wood from the farm. Born farming, the “tradition and glamour” of gathering, boiling and bottling pure maple syrup keeps the Hendrys engaged in this time-honoured labour of love.
